چکیده

Lentinus crinitus is a wild fungus, which produces mushrooms consumed by some Amazonian Indians. Besides, it recognized for its diverse biological activities and biotechnological applications. However, there are few reports with limited information on basidiocarp chemical composition cytotoxicity. Our study determined evaluated the composition, cytotoxicity, antioxidant activity of L. pileus stipe separately. Chromatographic methods were used to evaluate composition. Cytotoxicity was verified using cell culture from porcine liver against panel human tumor cells different models. Antioxidant assessed in vitro methods. The had higher levels protein, ash, tocopherols, organic acids, mainly malic acid, than stipe. revealed contents carbohydrates, energy, soluble sugars, phenolic mostly p-hydroxybenzoic acid. has trehalose as sugar, less 1% fat being ~60% polyunsaturated fatty acids (mostly linoleic oleic acids), ~13% saturated palmitic acid). high most no cytotoxic non-tumor cells. can be considered functional food applicability food, cosmetic, pharmaceutical industries.

Antimicrobial metabolites from Lentinus crinitus.

Lentinus crinitus (L. ex Fr.) Fr. is a mushroom which is widespread in Eastern Africalf2), but so far it has not been studied for its secondary metabolites. The strain was collected in Kaffa, Ethiopia, where it grows on dead wood. Culture extract of the fungus showed antimicrobial activity, and the new metabolite 1-desoxy-hypnophilin 1 and the known hypnophilin 2 were isolated as the most activ...

Chemical composition and antioxidant activity of dried powder formulations of Agaricus blazei and Lentinus edodes.

Several mushroom species have been pointed out as sources of antioxidant compounds, in addition to their important nutritional value. Agaricus blazei and Lentinus edodes are among the most studied species all over the world, but those studies focused on their fruiting bodies instead of other presentations, such as powdered preparations, used as supplements. In the present work the chemical comp...

Optimum conditions for inducing laccase production in Lentinus crinitus.

Laccases are environmentally friendly alternatives in many important applications such as in bioremediation, biopulping, textile, and the food industry. They have wide substrate specificity, can oxidize a broad range of compounds, and show potential for use in various industrial processes. Therefore, developing methods to increase laccase production is important. In the current study, we aimed ...

Studies on Chemical Composition and Antioxidant Activity of Rudbeckia triloba

The paper describes the physicochemical studies made on the decorative plant, Rudbeckia triloba (Asteraceae). For this purpose, essential oil, infusion, decoction, and hydroalcoholic macerate obtained from different aerial parts of Rudbeckia triloba were analyzed. The main phytochemical constituents identified by GC-MS analysis were found to be α-pinene (in dried leaves (46.0%) and flowers (40....
